Whether it be beachside, cozied up in a cocktail lounge, in your own home, or anywhere in the world, I'm there to provide you luxury images with a modern touch that will never go out of style.
Where my business began,
Gosh where do I start? I have invested my entire adult life into this business and truly built it from the ground up. I began my photography journey very young but didn't actually have the guts to create it into the business it is today until I was eight-teen. My husband and I found out we would be moving to Japan and I quickly realized that I wanted to pursue my passion for capturing life's sweetest moments. Since then, I have shot hundreds of sessions, met so many amazing people, and have traveled all over the globe.
Why I chose photography..
While I love photography as my career, my real passion lies in capturing your moments as they actually happen, not how Pinterest or another platform tells me to. The photography industry can often fall into focusing more on what will go viral on your feed rather than truly focusing on the connection of the real people in front of their lens.
My goal for your session is to capture the little things that no one else sees, the way your significant other holds tight onto your pinky finger, or the way you feel safe in their arms, because THOSE are the things that matter and that take my sessions from just a shallow photoshoot to a full on experience. A session with me is 10000% about YOU and I pray before each and every session that God will give me guidance on how to capture just that as authentically as possible.

Who is Rachel D?
I'm Rachel, a small town girl from Texas who married her high school sweetheart. I know, I know, pretty standard for the military life. At just eight-teen we ran off first to a sub-tropical island in Japan, Okinawa, then to Europe, and now after almost a total of seven years overseas we have finally made it back to the U.S. in California. We are VERY happy to be by the beach again.
I LOVE dogs and all animals but I may be a little biased towards Pomeranians since those are the babies my husband and I have. Aside from photography, I am currently getting my Veterinary Assistance certification and hope to also serve Central California in either a veterinary or animal welfare position.
I began my photography business in 2017 in my home state of Texas, but had ALWAYS loved photography growing up. I was never able to get my hands on a professional camera though due to how expensive they are. At the age of eight-teen my husband saw my potential and bought me my very own camera for my birthday, that's when Rachel D Photography was born. Now? I've been photographing for almost seven years, (talk about experience) I truly have a passion for serving and creating unforgettable experiences for my clients all over the world.
